A recap from Pastor Robb

God BLEW it UP in CLEVELAND!
A Note from Robb Ammermann, Pastor of Student Ministries

Every morning we began our day with morning devos and asked God to open our eyes to the opportunities around us where we could be His hands and feet… to LIVE LOVE to the least of these.  We did NOT have to look very hard, there were people that needed Jesus’ LOVE all around us.

In the mornings we served the elderly by weeding gardens, washing windows or cleaning.  When we approached one of the gentlemen we were serving, Richard, we said that we are here to serve, help and love you.  He replied, “There’s not much here to love”.  I watched as several of our students took time to stop working and talk with Richard during our time at his home, many of them hugging this 82 year old man while he cried.  There are several stories like this that our students have in their hearts now because of this outreach in Cleveland.

In the afternoon we served at FOCUS Sports Camp at Parma Heights Baptist Church for over 1000 children.  We served in the afternoon session where there were over 400 kids in attendance.  In our training before the mission trip, we prepared our testimonies of how Jesus Christ saved us and is now the Lord our lives.  Nearly ALL of our students and leaders had the opportunity daily to share Christ with kids that did not know Jesus.  As a result over 200 kids made first time decisions to follow Jesus!  Every night we gathered for our processing time, when all the kids would share, testify, cry, shout out about the AMAZING things that God had done!  GLORY to GOD!!

As we prepared to return home, many of the kids talked about how they want to stay on MISSION at home!  God has a mission for us wherever we are, will we LIVE LOVE is the question.  Thanks SO MUCH for supporting your Middle School mission team. To GOD be ALL the GLORY!

Then, it's off back home. There's every reason to be proud of this team. Please pray for safety at Cedar Point & for the trek back home!

Tuesday night & the Cleveland Indians!

More yard work!

Have to share what Tim Wageman shared about his experience meeting Richard:

"This man has made my week from day 1. He has told me his life story from playing ping pong in China to going to college at Harvard. He showed me how to be great husband. I could tell he was a great man from the first 5 minutes of talking to him.

Robb : We are here to serve you and to love you.
Richard : There isn't much to love.
That statement couldn't be anymore false. There was more than I could handle to love. We love you Richard, thank you for the opportunity to serve you and to love you."
